FBI closes Hillary Clinton's email case

THE FBI has closed the case on Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email server while US Secretary of State, but criticised her as "extremely careless" in her handling of "very sensitive, highly classified information".

The FBI probe found 110 of her emails had contained classified information and eight chains of emails included top secret information, but said there was no "clear evidence she intended to violate laws" on handling classified information.

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has accused Mrs Clinton of bribing Attorney-General Loretta Lynch for favourable treatment in the investigation.
