Female police officer suspended over four assault charges

POLICE say a 39-year-old female sergeant from the People Capability Command - which looks after training and safety - has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service.

The officer has been charged with four counts of common assault which police say relate to off duty behaviour.

The officer is to appear in the Mt Isa Magistrates Court on May 8, 2017.
