Five kids take cops on high-speed chase after bottle-o robbery

Five young teens have been charged following a high-speed police pursuit on Brisbane's southside overnight.

A 12-year-old boy is the youngest alleged offender with the group, which also included two 13-year-old girls, a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy.

Police alleged the group stole a large quantity of alcohol from a Sherwood Rd, Sherwood liquor store about 5.30pm on Friday.

PolAir began tracking the group as they drove erratically and at high speeds in an alleged stolen grey Toyota Landcruiser around the Logan area.

A tyre deflation device was used in an attempt to stop the vehicle but the car kept going, driving dangerously on its rims only.

The pursuit moved northbound on the M1 Motorway before the stolen vehicle allegedly rammed a marked police car.

Four officers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

Three other police cars were also damaged during the pursuit.

The car was finally stopped near Greenslopes.

A 14-year-old Goodna boy has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing. He is due to appear in Brisbane Children's Court this month.

A 13-year-old Inala boy and a 13-year-old Acacia Ridge girl have been charged with stealing and the unlawful use of a motor vehicle. They are due to appear in Beenleigh Children's Court in December.

A 13-year-old Marsden girl has been charged with stealing and the unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She is due to appear in Richlands Children's Court later this month.

A 12-year-old Brighton boy was unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will appear in Brisbane Children's Court next month.
