Why the sky's not falling in

A climate “double-bill” event will be held in Noosa on October 18.

Emeritus professor Garth Paltridge, director of the institute of Antarctic and Southern Ocean studies and CEO of the Antarctic cooperative research centre will be speaking about his recent book, The Climate Caper.

Following Prof Paltridge's address, Noosa will host the world premiere of a new full-length documentary American film entitled, Not Evil Just Wrong, a new documentary by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, that he said proves the main threats to the world are the flawed science and “sky-is-falling” rhetoric.

This event is at The Written Dimension Bookshop on October 18, for an author talk from 6.30pm-7.15pm, preceding the film. Patrons to be seated for the film by 7.15pm for an author presentation at 7.30pm, then the film at 8pm in the Noosa5Cinemas. Tickets at $15 from the bookshop (ABC Centre), Sunshine Beach Road, Noosa Junction, 5447 4433.
