Hey Dad lawyer says women making sex complaints unreliable
THE lawyer for Hey Dad! star Robert Hughes has told a jury the women alleging sexual offending were unreliable and could not back up their evidence.
Barrister Greg Walsh, during his closing submissions in Sydney on Monday, said it was "word against word".
The Daily Telegraph reported Mr Walsh submitting all the alleged victims had at least some of their evidence contradicted with things like dates on photographs or not knowing exactly when the alleged incidents occurred.
Hughes, 65, has pleaded not guilty to 11 child sex offences involving five female victims in the 1980s and 1990s.
"This is Robert Lindsay Hughes' worst nightmare," Mr Walsh said.
The jury is expected to start deliberating early this week.
