Man, 31, bashed and cut in brutal home invasion
A BREAK and enter on McEvoy St has resulted in a 31-year-old man being taken to Warwick hospital.
Multiple assailants allegedly entered the Warwick man's premises between 1am to 2am Monday.
The group then assaulted the home owner with objects resulting in severe injury and cuts to the head and body.
A 32-year-old and 23-year-old males have been arrested and changed over the incident.
Police are still searching for another suspect.
The victim remains in a stable condition.
Police were also out in force over the weekend in attempt to reduce incidents on the road.
On Saturday evening a 31-year-old female was charged with unlicensed driving when pulled over by police of Capital Dve.
That afternoon a 25-year-old man was also issued a notice to appear in court for unlicensed driving.
A .194% reading was allegedly blown by a 36-year-old Warwick man who was intercepted by police on Newby St at 12.25am Monday.
Despite these incidents Sgt Stewart Day said the weekend was a fairly quiet one for police.
"It was a pretty good weekend for the Warwick area as we have seen a decrease in the amount of break and entries following a few arrests," he said.
However residents are warned to remain vigilant with their property and remember to lock up over the school holiday.
"Police will be out in force during the school break," Sgt Day said.
Those travelling away for holidays are reminded to rest every two hours and service their car before departing.
"We recommend people don't leave for a long journey on the Friday after work," Sgt Day said.
He suggests people leave the Saturday morning once they are rested for the journey.
"We have had a terrible started to the road toll already this year so we need people to remain focused on the road over this period," he said.
