How to make millions? Ask Jack Delosa
STOP playing the Lotto and start making millions your own way.
Jack Delosa, a 27-year-old multi-millionaire, is heading to Mackay to teach people how.
At the age of 22, Mr Delosa's business made its first million.
"I think the world has changed and there is great opportunity to become leaders in the community," he said.
"Twenty years ago you needed a factory and employees to start a business.
"Today you don't even need money to start a business.
"It's a level-playing field right from the beginning."
Mr Delosa didn't finish university. He started a commerce and law degree but soon decided a traditional career path wasn't for him.
"The work I do is about empowering people," he said. "University was not going to be the vehicle to enable my career success.
"Anybody who is willing to take risks is able to be successful. It's about taking control of your destiny."
Mr Delosa said today's business world was adapting to the needs of society.
"It is not about making money, it's about making a difference," he said.
"I failed terribly during my first attempts at business when I was 18.
"But when I started to focus more, I was able to build profitable companies."
Mr Delosa said he was looking forward to his presentation in Mackay.
"I help young entrepreneurs who are looking to step up," he said.
"I've noticed in Mackay camaraderie exists between the people. This enables growth."
The Emerging Leaders Networking Event with Delosa will be held at Burp Restaurant on Wood St on Thursday, August 28 from 5-7pm.
Tickets are $50 for Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce members and $70 for non-members. To register email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 1300 799 726.
