Ipswich man linked to Coast robbery

POLICE believe a man from the Ipswich area was behind the daylight robbery of a Sunshine Coast service station.

A man filled a blue Holden Commodore with petrol at the Coles Express in Tewantin about 11.45am Monday.

Police allege he then went into the store, threatened an attendant and robbed cash from the till.

He was last seen driving onto Ponciana Ave.

Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch acting officer-in-charge Graeme Farlow said police knew who they were looking for.

"He is being sought for further offences committed in the Ipswich area," Detective Sergeant Farlow said.

They include a robbery from an Ipswich business in late January.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
