Hunt for teen after glass stabbing in playground

A 19-year-old man has been stabbed in the neck by a youth after the older man allegedly found him smashing bottles in a playground near the Gold Coast Highway. 

Police say around 9:30pm the man went into a park and witnessed the male youth smashing beer bottles on the playground. 

The man has told the youth to stop, resulting in an argument between the two.

The man has struck the youth in the face at the same time as the youth has stabbed the man in the neck with a broken bottle. 

The youth has then fled the scene. 

The Currumbin Waters man received a deep cut to the neck and had to be taken to the Gold Coast Hospital where he arrived in a stable condition.

The youth is described as being aged around 14-years-old, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build and black hair.
