NATIONAL recognition of Indigenous Australians in the constitution was preached by Aboriginal leader Noel Pearson in front of a packed audience at the Woodford Folk Festival yesterday.

The second day of the festival kicked off with a stirring speech urging all of the public and all states and territories to support the constitution recognition in a referendum.

The weird, wacky and wonderful were out in droves as festival goers enjoyed performances by acts such as Katie Noonan and Tijuana Cartel.
