
Intimate gig from respected musician at Diddillibah
DIDDILLIBAH Hall welcomes Neil Murray, one of Australia's most original and respected singer/songwriters, in an intimate concert on July 4.
Blackfella Whitefella, Good light in Broome, Native Born, and Burrumbeep Hill are some of the tunes Murray has penned.
His songs have been recorded by Aussie entertainers, including Jimmy Little, Missy Higgins, Christine Anu and Powderfinger.
Murray (pictured) came on the Australian music scene in the early 1980s as a founding member of the groundbreaking Warumpi Band that helped make contemporary indigenous music mainstream.
He has enjoyed a solo career since 1989, releasing 12 solo albums. The latest is Bring Thunder And Rain.
Murray will be supported on the Sunshine Coast by Bek-Jean Stewart.
Doors open at 6pm, with food and drink available.
