Sunshine Coast Turf Club chairman stands down from role

PROMINENT Sunshine Coast businessman Harry Reed has stood down as chairman of Sunshine Coast Turf Club on medical grounds.

Mr Reed, who has held the post since December 3 last year, said he had been advised to cut back his workload and he vacated the post "with regret".

Mr Reed joined the board on January 21, 2013 and was elected treasurer in October 2013, before assuming the position of chairman.

He has been honoured with a life membership and said he would continue to support the jockey club as a major sponsor through his company HMR Projects Pty Ltd. Mary Henzell has been appointed interim chairperson of the club.
