Law firm proud to be part of Daily's campaigns
AT MAURICE Blackburn Lawyers we believe everyone has a right to be heard.
So we were excited to be part of the Community Connections campaign with the Sunshine Coast Daily.
The APN community survey gave voice to many concerns in regional areas and to be involved in bringing these issues to light, then being part of the positive changes for the future, has been very rewarding.
100 Jobs in 50 Days:
For almost 100 years now our law firm has been fighting for the rights of working Australians, so it was great to see so many employment opportunities created by the 100 Jobs in 50 Days campaign.
We believe that a properly paid and secure job, with adequate and fair conditions, is the key to solving many social issues.
Employment opportunities in a safe workplace, that pays a living wage, affords people dignity and respect and allows them to contribute more broadly to their families and communities.
One Way Forward:
At Maurice Blackburn we help many people injured in road accidents and the fall-out can be catastrophic.
This is why we are heavily involved in national road safety campaigns and are looking to make a difference.
An affordable and reliable public transport system can go a long way to making our roads safer.
The Coast called for better youth entertainment.
Part of Maurice Blackburn's commitment to social justice includes the notion of a fair go for everyone - and that includes our young people.
Building connections and providing a sense of belonging are important stepping stones to create a more fair and just society.
We are committed to continuing to use our expertise, skills and sense of social justice to help improve the lives of Queenslanders.
It has been wonderful being part of the Community Connections campaign and we will continue to fight for fair in every way we can.
