LETTER: ‘Patriotic’ Pauline protects way of life
I AGREE with the Letter of the Day writer (Daily, July 7) Roger Green about the rantings, and ravings by some writers denigrating Senator-elect Pauline Hanson.
Surely voters have a democratic right to vote for the candidate of their choice.
I have been alarmed during the past eight weeks that we voters have been badgered by some people about how to vote ... please explain.
What qualifications do they have? What right do they have to tell me what to do?
Why are they so scared of a woman who is patriotic, loyal and dedicated to protecting the Australian way of life?
Being patriotic does not mean one is a racist.
Growing up during WWII all we Australians were patriotic.
Unless new immigrants learn our heritage and history, they have no idea of what it is to be a loyal Australian.
They come here carrying their past burdens, and want us to provide them with everything instantly, when it took years of hard work by our forebears.
Instead of those venomous, and derogatory comments, research the real situation here and other parts of the western world.
