Spirit of jazz to light up Noosa this weekend

GET ready for the Noosa Jazz Festival this weekend when the Noosa Heads Lions Park becomes the festival heart as the town fills with jazz greats.

The sweet sounds of blues and jazz will fill the Noosa air as artists such as Vince Jones, Grace Knight, Emma Pask, Jan Preston and a host of others perform in the Lions Park and at venues all over town.

The festival starts today with performers taking to the Tingirana main stage in the Lions Park and it leads into tomorrow with the sold-out Tastings on Hastings, where pop-up restaurants line the famous street.

"The backdrop beauty of Noosa mixed with some of the best musicians in Australia, along with mouth-watering offerings from restaurants and cafes in Noosa, is the perfect mix," festival CEO Vickii Cotter said.

A full program of events - available at hotels and venues all over Noosa and also online - will ensure you don't miss out on anything.

Tickets can be booked online at http://www.noosajazz.com.au or by calling 5471 3613.
