Local band joins dingo campaign

Sunshine Coast band Oka is reaching out to help Fraser Island’s dingoes.

The internationally performed group is renowned for spreading their unique techno-folk-aboriginal sound.

“We support Jaylene Musgrave’s fight to protect the dingoes on Fraser Island from heading towards extinction,” a band spokesperson said.

“Unless changes are made, we fear they will follow the same story as the Tasmanian Devil. We hope that a solution can be made to create a safe and free habitat for both the dingoes and people on Fraser Island.”

Oka joins a growing number of outraged musicians including Xavier Rudd supporting the dingo campaign.
