Mackay worker accused of embezzling more than $60,000

A MACKAY woman employed by an industrial cleaning company that services mine sites is accused of embezzling more than $60,000 from her workplace over two and a half years.

The 47 year old had her case mentioned in Mackay Magistrates Court for the first time on Monday.

Natalie Anne Elliott is charged with two counts of fraudulently obtaining property from another by employee between $30,000 and $100,000 from QBCT at Mackay Harbour.

It is alleged one time frame spans from June 1, 2016 to December 1, 2018 and at this stage it is unknown how much was allegedly taken.

The second count refers to Ms Elliott allegedly taking $31,907 between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018 from the Satellite Cres business.

She is currently on bail. The case will be mentioned again next month.
