Major money laundering uncovered

A GROUP of Mexicans posing as journalists have been caught attempting to enter Nicaragua with $7 million in cash.

The group of 18, including a police officer, was detained after trying to enter Nicaragua from neighbouring Honduras with the cash split between six vehicles.

A judge has ordered the group to remain in protective custody until next month when they will face money laundering charges, Reuters reports.
