Maleny sewage leak test results complete

UNITYWATER says water testing results confirm its assertion that no sewage from a leak at Maleny's skate park reached nearby Obi Obi Creek.

Repairs on the leak, which sprung up through cracks in cement at the park, were completed on Tuesday last week.

Water testing was done to check if the effluent had flowed down the banks of Obi Obi Creek into the water.

Unitywater infrastructure services acting executive manager Scott Barnes said the results indicated no contaminants from the leak had reached the creek.
