Man assaulted in armed robbery at Yaroomba

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted during a burglary at Yaroomba.

About 10.05pm, two men armed with a firearm and a crow bar entered a house on Grandview Drv and threatened both of the occupants.

One occupant, a 31-year-old man, was assaulted while the offenders searched the residence.

The offenders then forced the man and a 23-year-old woman to drive to a nearby ATM on David Low Way, where the two were made to withdraw cash.

The offenders then returned to the address and stole the victims' mobile phones.

The offenders fled the scene in a blue vehicle.

The man sustained minor injuries and did not require treatment and the woman was not physically injured.
