Man charged with dunking child in scalding water
CHARGES have been laid against a NSW man accused of deliberately dunking a toddler in scalding hot water.
A two-year-old boy was airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital last month after suffering extensive burns to his body at Dubbo, in the state's northwest.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad allege that 23-year-old man was looking after three children at a Dubbo home when he purposely immersed the toddler in a scalding hot bath.
He was arrested late Wednesday and charged with intentionally cause grievous bodily harm.
The toddler has been released from hospital and is under the care of community services.
