Man ‘left to die by busload of people’

POLICE are hunting for a busload of people who left a man to die following a road rage attack on the M1 at Yatala last night.

The white minivan, carrying up to 13 people disappeared before emergency services arrived shortly after 9.45pm.

It’s alleged those on board were responsible for attacking the 29-year-old man, who is fighting for life at Gold Coast University Hospital this morning.

Police said the man’s Subaru Forester station wagon and the minivan were pulled over at the side of road between the Pimpama and Yatala exits when the group allegedly threatened and assaulted the man with an unknown weapon.

He is in a critical condition with serious head injuries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the incident or have dash cam footage from the area around 9.30pm last night.
