Markets get a happy face with Lynn’s bright farm flowers
LOOKING for a change of pace landed Eudlo's Lynn Mills with more than just a posy of flowers in her hand, but a farm boasting hundreds of blooms.
The Highlands Flowers owner said nine years ago she wanted a lifestyle where she could be a stay-at-home mum to her seven-year-old daughter.
Fast forward to a full-time flower farm and the family business sends arrangements to markets from the Coast to Brisbane and beyond.
Lynn said you could find them every Wednesday at the Queen St Mall markets in Brisbane, followed by Carseldine on Saturday and Caloundra on Sunday.
"Some weekends we do six (markets) at a time. We just have vans going in every direction," Lynn said with a laugh.
She said one of their firm favourites was the Caloundra Street Fair.
"We've been going to the street fair for about eight-and-a-half years now," Lynn said.
"It's a great market... we have people who come up from Brisbane for the weekend because the markets have a great reputation."
Lynn said the markets have loyal customers who travel from far and wide.
Gerberas are the main flower grown on the farm and Lynn said "it's amazing how much they brighten your day".
The Caloundra Street Fair is on every Sunday from 8am-1pm on Bulcock St.
