Mei Mei what dancing talent we have here

TALENTED 13-year-old Mei Mei Tan is the newest star emerging from The Dance Centre Peregian Springs and she has just landed her first role in a major dance production.

Mei Mei will be a member of the cast for Ballet Theatre of Queensland's Cinderella, which will be on stage at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, January 19-21, 2017.

The Ballet Theatre of Queensland is Australia's oldest continuing classical ballet company.

Mei Mei was one of approximately 100 hopeful dancers who auditioned for roles and was chosen above many others for her grace and outstanding ballet technique.

Mei Mei has developed her talents by being a dedicated member of The Dance Centre Peregian Springs Vocational Program and also by her participation in Australian Ballet School's interstate program.

This is the second year that Mei Mei has been selected for a coveted position in the ABS's Interstate Program and is becoming a highly polished dancer at a very young age.

Mei Mei, who has just returned from a week working hard at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne, said "I am really excited about getting into BTQ because it was my first audition ever!"

Mei Mei has been dancing since she was seven years old and has been attending The Dance Centre since it opened six years ago.
