Mini kids' festival at Plaza for Santa's arrival tonight

TAKING time out from writing naughty and nice lists, Santa Claus is coming to the Sunshine Plaza tonight.

With Mrs Claus and Frosty the Snowman in tow, the jolly fat man will be arriving at the shopping centre at 6pm with giveaways for kids and photo opportunities.

Ahead of the big guy's arrival, the Plaza will be putting on live music, a magic show, free face painting and a giant inflatable winter-wonderland snow globe on the Riverwalk Stage from 5pm onwards.

Sunshine Plaza Marketing Manager, Kylie Riches said the Plaza was very excited to launch its Christmas program, starting with Santa's arrival.

"You can already feel the excitement of the Christmas festivities and we are very much looking forward to making Santa feel right at home," she said.

Professional family photography with Santa will begin in the mall's reindeer forest, set up outside Myer on level one, on December 18 and shoppers can get their gifts wrapped for a gold coin donation towards RACQ LifeFlight from December 1.
