More Jetstar Melbourne flights

EXCLUSIVE: Jetstar is introducing three extra return services every week between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast from June 29.

Jetstar Australia and New Zealand CEO David Hall said a high demand for the service prompted the airline to commit to flying in and out of the Sunshine Coast with additional services on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.

The extra flights will be another 1000 passengers to and from the Coast every week.

"We've played an integral role in helping boost passenger growth to the Sunshine Coast ever since our first flight took off almost 10 years ago," Mr Hall said.

"It's pleasing to see the local tourism industry continues to grow from strength to strength and we expect these services will encourage even more travellers to visit this vibrant region.

"Jetstar offers the most flights to Queensland of any low fares carrier."

One-way lead-in fares between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast start from $125.
