Mudputty makes it easy to match up
MUDPUTTY is a an online community connecting group classes with participants.
Businesses and individuals who run group classes can manage and promote their service via Mudputty, while participants can search and connect with classes that match their interests.
Mudputty founder Raeleen Kaesehagen said she started the website because she saw so many wonderful classes on the Sunshine Coast struggling to fill places.
"(There was) everything from fitness groups and outdoor activities, to kids'programs, music and art classes,” Kaesehagen said.
"The problem isn't that people don't want to attend these classes - they don't know they exist.
"People put flyers on noticeboards or posts on Facebook to promote their activity. But it's hard for busy people to find that information.
"I want to bring together a like-minded community, so class hosts can access customers who are looking for what they offer.”
Through an online platform, hosts can market their activity, fill their classes, receive payment and connect with class attendees.
Mudputty is also open to people who want to share a passion or hobby, even if they've never taught a class in their life.
"Mudputty is really about creating a community where class hosts get paid to do what they love,” Kaesehagen said.
"Mudputty takes care of everything that's difficult and time-consuming when it comes to organising community activities.
"For anyone who wants to run a class, we want to help them succeed by making the process simple and hassle-free.”
The Mudputty website is taking registrations and will launch when there are 600 hosts and 2000 attendees registered.
