NDSHS cleans up at Gympie Show

The Noosa District State High School cattle show team received outstanding results over the weekend in Gympie, providing the school with a positive outlook for the cattle show season.

The NDSHS cow named "Gemini" with her twin heifer calves were awarded the Grand Champion Murray Grey exhibit.

Students Jaz and Tomika took out first and second placings in the Cattle Parading Competition.

Jess was awarded 2nd placing, Jaz took out 3rd place and Chloe was awarded 5th in the Young Judges Competition, Stud Cattle Section; while Chloe was awarded 2nd and Jess 3rd in the Young Judges Competition.

Agricultural science teacher and the NDSHS cattle show mentor, John Masterman was very proud of his students' efforts.

"They are a great bunch of kids. It was a great team effort," Mr Masterman said.
