Noosa District State High School students completed the cross country today circumnavigating the perimeter of the school grounds, with students starting the race in the centre of the oval.
The students donned their house colours, with some channelling Usain Bolt wearing capes and performing special dances and poses rehearsed and ready for today's big school event.
The weather and grounds were ideal, with the oval drying out after the big rain over Easter and the air temperature perfect for the race.
The students showed great showmanship, cheering and encouraging their classmates, when legs became tired and spirits needed boosting.
Students who finished the competition with good times have been invited to partake in North District Cross Country, which will be held in Week 5.
