Students address marriage equality through art

Noosa District State High School Year 12 students created a class mural today highlighting an important topic that they all feel very strongly about: marriage equality.

The students spent this term exploring how art can be used as a facilitator for activism and as a means for peacefully protesting or bringing attention to the plight of those in the community who often go unheard, ignored or unnoticed.

Today's activity brought to the fore the topic of gay marriage.

The students hope that this is an issue that the Australian government acts upon soon.
