Nine arrested and $150,000 plus guns and drugs found in bust
POLICE have cracked one of Capricornia's major drug rings after officers raided 10 properties and arrested nine people at the Capricorn Coast on Wednesday.
Police raided a Zilzie house and found about $150,000 cash, drugs, firearms and other items. A Yeppoon CIB spokesman told the media a large quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine was seized. Channel 7 last night confirmed a man and woman, both 20, were arrested.
A coast man, 31, arrested on Wednesday appeared briefly in court and was remanded in custody. The remaining suspects will appear later.
The latest bust was part of an 18-month police operation.
Despite several attempts on Wednesday to contact Yeppoon CIB and Rockhampton Police, The Morning Bulletin could not confirm details about the raids.
