Noosa nurse takes top honours
NOOSA Hospital nurse Linzie Robinson has taken out a top award at the Queensland Ramsay Education Awards.
Enrolled nurse Linzie took out the Graduate Award of Excellence for her commitment to her job and always displaying the values of Ramsay Healthcare.
Linzie said it was a privilege to be recognised for her hard work.
"It was really lovely. I was really honoured. I've had all the support from the hospital, so I'm really happy," Linzie said.
Noosa Hospital staff development manager Jo Fahey said what set Linzie apart from other nurses was her Ramsay attitude and innovative ideas.
"The thing that brought her out on top is all the graduates have a project and Linzie's was the only one that has changed the way we do things," Jo said.
"We look for a standout nurse who has the Ramsay way, so caring for people."
Linzie said she was very grateful for the help from the staff at Noosa Hospital and enjoyed the ever-changing role of being a nurse.
"The support I got during my grad year, looking back that support has been a godsend," Linzie said.
"It's a job where you continue learning."
Jo said she knew Linzie would be an asset to the Noosa Hospital from early on.
"She actually started here as a student and we identified very quickly that Linzie was going to be someone to have here at our hospital," Jo said.
"Ramsay and the hospital are very lucky to have her and the patients are very lucky to have her."
