Noosa’s creative space invaders target tourist walk
Noosa’s love of creative art and nature will fuse on a well-trodden path as the 11th Floating Land exhibition sets up to challenge passing thoughts.
Organisers of the nationally-acclaimed artistic offering have this year chosen the 480m Park Rd boardwalk overlooking Laguna Bay and the Cooloola Coast to observe the installations.

“This site will capitalise on the picturesque seascape environment as a backdrop,” Floating Land curator and Noosa Regional Gallery director Michael Brennan said.

“Park Road boardwalk offers the public the chance to view works as part of an established and very popular walking route.
“So it builds beautifully on the success of the 2019 event, which captivated an incidental audience in Noosa National Park.”
This year’s theme is At the Edge of Ideas, inviting artists and onlookers to step out of their comfort zones.
Mr Brennan said the event would maintain a significant presence artistic at the edge of Lake Cootharaba in Boreen Point with multiple stand-alone installations planned.

Mr Brennan said additional sites could be considered on a case-by-case basis with the gallery taking expressions of interest for artistic projects until March 23.
