Our nation paying the price for political games

UNDER FIRE: Senators Derryn Hinch and Nick Xenophon.
UNDER FIRE: Senators Derryn Hinch and Nick Xenophon. MICK TSIKAS

HOW can this country progress when the decision-makers in the Senate belong to minor groups or individuals that commanded a handful of votes at the last election?

We have Nick Xenophon brazenly blackmailing the government for special terms favouring his own little dunghill in Adelaide in exchange for approving vital changes in the national interest.

Then there is David Leyonhjelm, who got elected on a minuscule number of votes, making daft demands, not to mention Lambie, Hinch, Dobson and others acting in their own interest not the country.

Major culprits disrupting the smooth running of government are Labor and Greens who are prepared to do anything to bring the government down, even if it means damaging the national interest.

These people should hang their heads in shame and we, the public, should email our disgust to them on a weekly basis until they get the message and tell them we have had enough of their stupidity.
