Police investigate reports of armed man in disturbance

OFFICERS from Dalby's Criminal Investigation Branch were last night investigating an incident in which a man was reported to be armed on a Hannaford property.

Police received a call about 5.30am yesterday from the property at Hannaford, west of Tara, reporting that a resident had been involved in a disturbance with a man who had a firearm.

Crews went to the property and located the man in question without incident. A police spokesman could not confirm whether he was armed.

He was still assisting police with inquiries last night, but no charges had been laid.

Officers from the Dalby CIB are assisting Tara police and continuing to investigate the incident.
