Police seek info from man in Mackay public sex act probe

POLICE investigating allegations a man masturbated near children have released an image of a person they believe may have information relating to the incident.

The man, described as thin and aged between 30 to 40 years old, was reported to have been in the vicinity of children sitting outside a complex on Bridge Rd in West Mackay.

The incident occurred about 4.45pm on June 15, with police making an initial appeal for information from the public four days later.

“Investigations have allowed police to access the CCTV image,” police said in a statement.

Police believe the man may be able to help with ongoing investigations.

He is described as having a goatee and was wearing dark grey pants and a black shirt at the time of the alleged incident.
