Queensland car registration costs to rise from tomorrow
FROM tomorrow, Queensland drivers will need deeper pockets when it comes to paying for car registration.
A 3.5% increase to existing registration costs will see registration of a four-cylinder car increase by about $12, the bill for six-cylinder vehicles increase by $17 and eight-cylinder car drivers will pay an extra $23.
The increases follows a three year freeze on car registration costs.

Member for Kawana Jarrod Bleijie said Labor was slugging drivers with an increase two and a half times the inflation rate.
"This increase is unfair and puts unnecessary cost of living pressure on the families in my electorate of Kawana," Mr Bleijie said.
