Rally fan revs up fundraising campaign early

WITH her windows wound down, Heather Christie breathes in the air peppered with dust.

She feels alive in her purple Holden, driving the Great Endeavour Rally track.

At the last rally from Warwick to Bundaberg, participants raised $320,000 for the Endeavour Foundation.

With the help of the Sunshine Coast community, team Why Not raised $12,055 and was the fourth highest fundraiser.

"We also were awarded for the second year in a row the Supreme Promoter award, which is given to the team that strive to raise the profile of Endeavour in their community," Heather said.

Keen to back up great results this year, Heather and her team are eager to kickstart their fundraising efforts for next year's rally - from Redcliffe to Rockhampton in July.

The Golden Jubilee Dinner Dance, will be a major fundraiser for the foundation and celebrate 50 years of Endeavour Foundation on the Sunshine Coast.

Held on Friday, October 17 at 6.30pm at the Sunshine Coast Function Centre, Caloundra RSL, West Tce, Caloundra.

Tickets cost $95 per head which includes full buffet dinner.
