Records in sight as $11.5m mansion hits market
THE Noosa holiday home of a Gold Coast businessman is on the market for $11.5 million, tipped to break the luxury suburb record.
The six-bedroom home with "gun-barrel" views on absolute river frontage is marketed through Tom Offermann Real Estate.
Principal Tom Offermann said the home would break the Noosa Sound record given the interest so far.
He said his agency currently held the Noosa Sound record sale price.
The home is being offering "walk in, walk out" with about $1 million in furniture including $100,000 kitchen and gymnasium.
"Properties of this calibre are infrequently available," Mr Offermann said.
"We have already put it out to our database and expect it to sell within weeks.
"Some of these clients have been waiting more than a year for high-quality property to become available.
"Some of those have already arranged flights to view it."
Mr Offermann said the current owner purchased the property in 2012 but had not used the home as much as he hoped.
"It's an opportunity for buyers to take up residence in the front row of Noosa Sound," he said.
"It's only three doors down from Hastings St, so accessible to the beach and restaurants and then from the waterside, you can just jump on a boat.
"It really is the best of both worlds."
