THE Buddina Urban Development Group has today announced the appointment of RGD Constructions Pty Ltd to deliver its $65 million beachside apartment project, The Hedge at Buddina.
Designed by MODE, The Hedge at Buddina will offer a selection of 97 one, two and three bedroom apartments over five storeys in addition to 11 ground-floor commercial opportunities.
The mixed-use development will include five luxury penthouses to complement the project.
The Hedge spokesman Jason Hague said the appointment of RGD Constructions Pty Ltd was a significant milestone for the project.
"We are thrilled to announce the appointment of RGD Constructions - a proud local building company with an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality projects," Mr Hague said.
"We look forward to working closely with a fellow locally-based company in RGD Constructions, retaining local jobs and delivering a cutting edge project for the region."
Construction of the project started on March 1, 2018, with a completion date set for mid-2019.
Mr Hague said The Hedge is perfectly placed to offer a range of benefits to future residents and investors.
"Located an hour north of Brisbane by road, the Sunshine Coast is one of Australia's top 10 urban areas and is fast becoming one of Australia's leading regional economies,"Mr Hague said.
"Enjoying a prime beachside location, The Hedge at Buddina benefits from an exciting regional development strategy unfolding over the next two decades which will see the economy triple to $33 billion, the creation of 100,000 new jobs in high end industries and household incomes exceeding the Queensland average.
"The Hedge at Buddina will be close to schools, bus links, major shopping and professional services including the new $2.03 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital within the $5 billion Kawana Health Precinct.
"With a patrolled beach and local surf club at its doorstep, the project also adjoins the newly upgraded Kawana Shoppingworld which has been earmarked for further major improvements in the coming years including a cinema complex and new specialty shops."
