Rhonda brings home bronze in sporting debut

KINGAROY'S Rhonda Trivett has returned from the coast with her head held high.

The well-known Kingaroy resident took up wheelchair basketball this year.

She played her debut with the Suncoast Spinners at the weekend, helping the team score bronze.

Bridie Kean, Suncoast Spinners President and dual Paralympic medalist, praised Rhonda on her performance.

"Rhonda gave it her all, playing hard and learning from experienced team mates and coaches,” she said.

Spinners B-grade team coach, Nathan Wilburn, echoed the sentiment.

"Rhonda is an amazing player and I am proud to have the opportunity to pass on my skills and knowledge to new comers in this amazing sport,” he said.

The winner of B-grade was Fraser Coasters who took out the gold medal in their debut.
