Samsung puts on their game face with new Galaxy phones

MOBILE computing is not just about work and emails.

In fact, some of the most lucrative apps for mobile devices are games and in-game purchases.

So it's little wonder that brands like LG and Samsung are putting a far greater focus on games people play.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge feature more powerful processors and better battery capacity to ensure longer playing times.

A new internal cooling system, using a copper pipe and water, promises to reduce Samsung's previous overheating problems.

Game Launcher allows users to manage battery consumption and minimise notifications.

Users will also be able to record their gaming experience or share their screen to play with others. And if they are struggling to get through levels, 'how to' videos will be more easily accessible via the S7s.

Samsung says the new phones are the first to support the Vulkan API which provides for high-performance graphic games with less battery drain.
