THREE dynamic Caloundra businesses in Bulcock Street are putting a creative spin on school holiday classes for kids.

Cherie Paul, from the Glass Jewel, offers mosaic classes for children during peak holiday times and thought it was a good idea to collaborate with other like-minded businesses after receiving countless inquiries on what other kids' activities were on offer in Caloundra.

"It just made sense," Cherie said.

"I knew Vicki, from Red Hot Chilli Pepper, was about to start offering kids' cooking classes so I had a chat with her about it and she was very excited to join forces."

At the same time, newcomers to Caloundra, Natasha and Chris Holloway, set up their business The Art Hub Sunshine Coast, based in the Caloundra cinema complex.

"Chris came in and introduced himself to me one afternoon," Vicki said.

"And after we chatted about the art and paint classes they were offering to kids, I thought, 'What a coincidence' as I had just finished talking with Cherie about a potential collaboration."

All three businesses will be offering demonstration workshops during the Christmas in Caloundra promotion, which is on from this Saturday, December 10, to December 23.
