South Koreans claim second Champions League crown

SOUTH Korean team Jeonbuk Motors has won the Asian Champions League for the second time with a 3-2 aggregate win over Al Ain.

The second leg of the final, played in the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates, finished 1-1.

The visitors went in front through Han Kyo-won before Lee Myung-joo equalised.

Brazilian Douglas, one of the stars of Al Ain's campaign this season, then had the chance to level the aggregate scores from the spot but fired wide.

The UAE side was the surprise winner of the first ACL in 2003 but was guilty of missing a host of other chances as well as the penalty.

Al Ain attacked for large amounts of the second half but Ismail Ahmed headed over the bar, while goalkeeper Kwoun saved from from Danilo Asprilla and Douglas.
