Speed not enough for these two to evade police

TWO men have allegedly sped away to evade police around Logan yesterday afternoon.

Police say they saw a stolen Holden Commodore speeding on Loganlea Road just before 2pm.

The car has failed to stop for police and was seen speeding southbound on Kingston Road.

Polair has tracked the car and spotted it stopping in Yates Crescent, Meadowbrook.

Police arrested one man at a nearby service station and the other in the car park of a nearby shopping centre.

A 31-year-old Slacks Creek man and a 21-year-old Loganlea man were both charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and two counts of receiving tainted property. The 31-year-old was also charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to stop a motor vehicle.

Both men are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
