Street stall in Pomona

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Noosa Show Society will be holding a street stall and raffle in Pomona (outside new Lifeline shop) on May 3 and 10 from 8am-noon.

There will be hand made gifts – the perfect idea for Mother’s Day – along with cookery delights and plants. So come along and pick up something special.

The group is newly-formed and working to raise funds to help improve the facilities of the Pomona Showground, which is held in trust for the people of the Noosa District.

It is owned by the community and volunteer run by local residents. The showground is not owned or affiliated with the local council.

The Pomona Showgrounds are not only used for the annual Noosa Country Show but also as the meeting place for other community events. It also provides facilities for the travelling public.

This, in turn, increases the financial input into the local community.

The Ladies Auxiliary is always seeking more willing hands to continue with the ever-present work involved. Anyone interested should contact the secretary, Mia Hacker, on 5485 0566.
