Tastes are covered from river to the sea

THE shores will come to life when Noosa Boathouse presents "You're Better on Beef BBQ by the River" in Noosaville on Sunday, as a part of Noosa Food & Wine 2016.

The food, wine, craft beer and music "festival within a festival" will run from 11am to 6pm in the Lions Park on Gympie Tce (Pirate Park).

The celebration of Australian beef will see six renowned chefs - Matt Golinski, Alastair McLeod, Shane Bailey, Sunny Gilbert and Sammy and Bella - each dishing up their best version of the beef sirloin to all who attend.

Along with the live cooking demonstrations, music from Sunshine Coast legend Carl Wockner, followed by Brisbane powerhouse band Honey, will keep festival-goers entertained.

The event will also include an outdoor beer garden with Asahi, Mountain Goat and Cricketers Arms craft beer, Stone & Wood Brewing Co's Bonnie the caravan serving the cold brew along with Dal Zotto Wines and Sirromet Wines.

Donut Boyz and Frozen Sunshine Ice Blocks will be there with treats.

Tickets are available for $15 and include one $8 food/drink ticket.

Online tickets close at noon on Saturday 21st but tickets can be bought at the door for $25. Kids 12 and under are free.

Noosa Food & Wine 2016  is  taking place in beautiful locations throughout Noosa from tomorrow to Sunday with more than 40 events showcasing some of Australia's best chefs and Queensland's great produce.

Events will take place under the Noosa Tipi on Main Beach, in Hastings Street for a long lunch, by the Noosa River in Noosaville and in signature restaurants throughout Noosa.
