Teenage girl indecently assaulted in Toowoomba

POLICE have released a comfit image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the indecent assault of a 15-year-old girl in Toowoomba.

The girl was grabbed by a man in Black Gully Reserve on Jellicoe St, Newtown, on Friday last week about 4.20pm.

She was initially approached by the man who tried to start a conversation with her.

The girl began to walk away when the man grabbed the girl by her backpack and a struggle ensued where she was pushed to the ground.

The man indecently assaulted her before fleeing the scene on foot when the girl continued to scream for help.

The girl was not physically injured.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early to mid 30s, about 167cm tall with light brown hair, thin build and a fair complexion.
