THERE will be a welcome police boost to Noosa in coming weeks with the introduction of first-year constables to the beat.

These graduated from the Queensland Police Service Academy in Brisbane on Thursday.

Member for Noosa, Glen Elmes said: "Across the Sunshine Coast, we will have an additional six officers on the beat maintaining law and order.

"The new officers for Noosa will be arriving in coming weeks.

"I am sure everyone will join me in welcoming them to the community.

"I wish each of them all the best in their careers.

"I hope they enjoy their time with the QPS," Mr Elmes said.
