Throw a shrimp on the barbie! Hoges’s back

DRUM roll and Tchaikovsky's fifth. G'd evening, viewers.

It's the Paul Hogan show and it's coming to a town near you.

Australia's most famous bridge painter turned movie star, Paul Hogan, will perform on the Sunshine Coast in August as part of a national regional tour.

The Coast has scored two gigs. Hogan will perform at the Nambour Civic Centre on August 1 and The Events Centre, Caloundra, on August 2.

His one-man show, Hoges; One Night Only! The hilarious truth and nothing but the truth..., is described as a combination of stand-up, stories and unseen clips.

The regional tour follows last year's capital city tour of An Evening With Hoges.

The 74-year-old said he was excited to be touring regional Australia again. "About 30 years ago I toured the country with such acts as Normie Rowe and we had a blast!

"Then, when I did the movie Charlie and Boots only a few years ago, I had the time of my life travelling throughout Australia and immediately started looking for an excuse to do it again. This is that excuse."

Tickets are $89.90.
